TCA ALERTS!
Student Life
There are many ways that we support the life and growth of our students outside the classroom. Here are some of the ways we do it.
Twin Cities Academy Student Leadership Opportunities
Student Leadership Council
Twin Cities Academy has student-led Leadership Councils in both the middle school and the high school. This is a student led organization that schedules activities and events for the school community throughout the academic year. New representatives are elected by the student body every school year in the fall.
Link Crew
Each fall, freshmen and new sophomores are welcomed into TCA high school by 11th and 12th grade Link Leaders. The Link Leaders are highly trained in leadership, communication, and team building skills. Link Leaders facilitate new student orientation, teach quarterly Link Lessons on topics like Time Management, Making Decisions, and more. They connect with their “Link Crews” in a variety of creative and fun ways throughout the school year in order to help freshmen and new students feel supported and engaged in school.
Twin Cities Academy Activities and Events
Social life at TCA is robust. Student activities and events are organized by both the student body and by the middle school Student Council. Students attend these activities as a privilege in recognition of their hard work and respectful, responsible citizenship. Here are some examples of these celebrations:
- Museum and Theater Trips
- School Dances
- Spirit Week Events
- Ski & Snowboarding Club
- End-of-Quarter Celebration Field Trips
