TCA School Board Elections

Every spring there are some open board seats. Below are the open seats and candidates who have applied for the open seats. Board elections will begin on May 15 and go through May 22. A separate link will be shared with TCA staff and families on May 15 to begin voting. All open positions will also have a write in option.

Please read the bios of the candidates below:

Community Members (2 open seats only one applicant)

Rich Holst:
Rich has had three children attend TCA in the past. He is actively involved in the St. Paul community by serving on several community boards and committees. Additionally, he brings a focus on marketing and finance, using skills from his current sales and project management position. Rich was instrumental in helping TCA through the tough decision-making during the pandemic, and is deeply committed to the ongoing success of TCA for its staff and students.

Parent Members (2 open seats only one applicant)
Ashley Wolf:
Ashley Wolf is the parent of a 10th-grade student at Twin Cities Academy and has been an active supporter of the school community. She brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, operations, and community engagement.
Ashley currently serves on the board of the LUSH Legacy Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. She previously served as Director of Operations and later Vice President of the executive board for the Center for Equality, and chaired the Sioux Falls Pride festival for two consecutive years.

Professionally, Ashley is a Senior Program Manager with Moving Home Minnesota, where she oversees programs supporting individuals transitioning from institutional care into community-based housing. She brings strong expertise in leadership, compliance, and cross-system collaboration, and is passionate about supporting student success and inclusive school communities.

Teacher Members (2 open seats and two candidates)

Erin Enquist:
Erin teaches middle school English Language Arts. She graduated from Iowa State University and earned my Master’s in Teaching from Simpson College. She has had roles at TCA as the ELA professional learning community leader and Data Coach. She joined the board because she cares deeply for her students and wants to help ensure that TCA continues to thrive and supports them.

Emily Stripe:
Emily has been a teacher at TCA for 14 years and the 504 Coordinator for 8 years. Emily has served as PLC leader, peer coach, equity team member, SST member, MS student council leader and NHS advisor. She has established and maintains TCA’s native garden and is the parent of a TCA sophmore.

Emily is a long-standing member of TCA, and brings an understanding of TCA’s past and a deep care for the TCA community and its future. The breadth of her experience and her positive mindset grant her a unique perspective that would be an asset on the board. Emily looks forward to assisting with planning and decision-making in consideration of our community’s best interests.
